Government Communications Australia Conference
Evan Evans partnered up with Government Communications Australia (GCA) in early 2013 and when the annual conference came around in February, we were asked to step in and brand the three-day event in Sydney.
The Government Communications Australia conference provides Marketing and Communications specialists in the government sector the chance to network, discuss and award good ideas and find out about new products and trends in the communications industry.
Evan Evans provided GCA with directional signage, official GCA flags, banners and hand waver flags for the event.
Mindful that the event was being held in a newly-renovated hotel, we contacted the organisers to understand what could be done within the parameters of the hotel’s policy on signage and set up.
The conference was happening across several areas and rooms in the hotel so directional signage was important but rather than using standard signage, we put it to the GCA team that floor signage would be a more interesting approach and they immediately agreed.
The official burnt orange GCA colour was used by our designer to produce GCA ‘bubbles’ made of Tough Media Indoor that were installed in carpeted areas of the conference to direct delegates from one room to another.
In the main conference room, our designer created simple but effective artwork for the large vertical flags that hung either side of the stage and the burnt orange hand waver flags we produced popped on the white tablecloths of the delegate tables.
